Mr. Larry Sylvester Shepherd, age 69, of Colt, Arkansas, died on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Larry was born on April 20, 1949 in Holcomb, Missouri to the late Charles Freddick Shepherd and Rilla Lucibell Ashburn Shepherd. He married Virginia Lee McCrary in 1969. Larry loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He liked to shop yard sales, go to auctions and loved to make people laugh. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Colt.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia Shepherd of the home, daughters, Sheila Roberts and husband Joe of Heber Springs, Crystl Like and husband Josh of Colt, brothers, Bud Shepherd of Florida, Glen Shepherd of Oklahoma, Lonnie Shepherd of Palestine, grandchildren, Destini Like, Chris "Bubba" Roberts and Dezi Like.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rilla Shepherd, five brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Kernodle Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2 PM with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Jason Douglas is officiating.

Kernodle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
