Kathleen Irby Dalton, age 83 of Gretna, died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Bedford Hospice House.
Born May 9, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Irby and Annie Dalton Irby.
She was predeceased by her husband, Berry Jack Dalton; a grandson, Larry Wayne Dalton, Jr.; three brothers, Calvin Irby, Eugene Irby, and William Irby; and four sisters, Beatrice Vedder, Bessie Simpson, Katie Keatts, and Sara Dejarnett.
Mrs. Dalton retired from the Lane Company; and she enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Larry Wayne Dalton and wife, Joyce of Gretna; two sisters, Louella Robertson of Hurt, and Dottie Francis of Altavista; one grandchild, Stuart Wayne Dalton; and a niece, Cindy Crews.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Lynn Marstin. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Centra Hospice, 2097 Langhorne Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24502. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
