OBITUARY
Simeon Swartz, the oldest son of George and Mary Swartz, was born in Fairfield Co., Ohio, December 21, 1832. Departed this life at his home near Meno, Okla., January 1, 1910 – aged 77 years and 10 days.
When a mere boy the Spirit of the Lord found him and in his 14th year, he was converted and united with the church of his parents' choice, the Evangelical Association. In his 19th year he was granted an exhorter's license and in the 21st year of his earthly sojourning, he was licensed as a minister to preach the Gospel.
He entered the Ohio conference of the Evangelical Association in 1857, and served as a pastor six consecutive years at the following named places: Pickaway, Bettsville, Logansville, Delta and doing the work of a missionary and organizer.

On October 2, he was united in marriage to Sarah Kring, daughter of Rev. C. Kring of Franklin Co., Ohio. …
To them was born six sons and two daughters, one son having died in infancy…
The children were all present at the time of the father's departure, three of them coming from their home in Oregon, and the other residing in Oklahoma….
The funeral service was held at the Concord M.E. church, conducted by the pastor, the sermon being preached by the District Superintendent, Rev. Marion Porter, of Enid, Okla.
Interment was made at the Concord cemetery.
