Athens, AL - Arthur William Thompson, 68, of Athens, died Monday at a local hospital.
A graveside service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Byron Davis officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Thompson was retired from NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Sandlin Thompson; two sons, Warren Thompson of Knoxville and Trent Thompson of Athens; two daughters, Martha Ann Adkins of Fort Worth, Texas and Barbara Brown of Lykens, PA; three sisters, Bertha Skaggs of Brownsville, KY, Ann Edwards of Wadena, MN, and Alice Schroeder of Elizabethtown, KY; and four grandchildren.
