Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Albracht was born Jan. 5, 1909, in St. Bernard, Neb., to John and Rose Albracht. He married Irene Hoelting on Jan. 16, 1934, in Nazareth. W.J. was a member of St. Anthony's Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He was a retired farmer/dairyman. Our father was a man of great faith and lived his life accordingly.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Gail Ann; and an infant son, Francis Xavier.
Survivors include five sons, Sam Albracht and wife Margie of Nazareth, Dr. William Albracht and wife Nora of Santa Fe, N.M., Fred Albracht and wife Shari of Longmont, Colo., Dr. Anthony Albracht and wife Michelle of Mission Hills, Kan., and Wendell Albracht and wife Karen of Dallas; five daughters, Karen Peralta of Fair Oaks, Calif., Mary Haines and husband Terry of McKinney, Rita Bezner and husband Lanny of Dalhart, Roberta Albracht and husband Rick Gerber of Austin and Joselle Albracht and husband John DiStasio of Mystic, Conn.; 29 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Albracht suggested memorials be to St. Anthony's School Endowment Fund, 115 N. 25 Mile Ave., Hereford, TX 79045; or Deaf Smith County Public Library, 211 E. Fourth Str., Hereford, TX 79045.
