Monica Mary Banner, 66, of Hereford died Saturday, Jan. 27, 1990, in Amarillo.

Rosary was recited Monday in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. A prayer service followed rosary services. Mass was held today at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Monsignor Orville R. Blum, pastor, officiating.

Liturgical Concelebrants were Fathers Tim Dran, Hector Madrigal and Dick Scully. Assisting were Leroy Behnke of Lubbock, Deacon of the Word; Deacon Jonny Cloud, who served at the Eucharistic table; and Tommy Albracht, who lectored.

Eucharistic ministers were Ed Schilling, Joe Artho, Al Simnacher, Opal Blakely, Duane Albract and Betty Koelzer.

Burial was held in Rest Lawn Memorial Park by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Banner was born in Nazareth. She came to Hereford in 1933 from Nazareth. She graduated from Hereford High School. She married Gerald Banner Feb. 5, 1947, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was a past member of St. Anthony's Women's Organization and was a member of Arch Confraternity of Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Gregory Banner of Midland, Doug Banner and Bob Banner, both of Amarillo, Jim Banner and Roy Banner, both of Clinton, Okla., and Mark Banner and Phil Banner, both of Hereford; three daughters, Deborah Sampler, Nancy Caperion and Dianne Clevenger, all of Hereford; four brothers, Jerry Albracht and W.J. Albracht, both of Hereford, and Dr. Gene Albracht and Dr. John Albracht, both of Amarillo; four sisters, Emalene Kriegshauser of Hereford, Bernadette McGuire of Denton, Anges Berg of Santa Monica, Calif., and Rosella Hill of Abilene; and 29 grandchildren.
