Lucinda was the daughter of Lewis & Nancy Ann (Reed) Dulin. Lucinda was brought from Fauquier County, VA, to Harrison County, VA (now WV), where she was married to Travis Latham reportedly on January 6, 1812. The Travis Latham family subsequently moved to Ohio and traces of them can be found in Ross County, Madison County, Delaware County, and Franklin County. Travis and Lucinda reportedly parented the following 10 children between the years of 1812 & 1839: John Latham, James C. Latham, Alfred Latham, Priscilla Latham, David Latham, Moses Latham, Sarah S. Latham, Silas Latham, Williard Smith Latham, and Calvin M. Latham. "T. Latham" and family were recorded on the 1840 Federal Census living in Norwich Township, Franklin County, OH. Travis (under a badly mangled spelling of his name) & Lucinda appear on the 1850 Federal Census living in Concord Township, Delaware County, OH, along with three of their younger children. The "Centennial Biographical History of Columbus & Franklin County, Ohio" relates that Lucinda's parents, Lewis & "Ann" Dulin, moved to Lucinda's Delaware County, OH, home and that both parents died there in the 1850s. Regarding the death of Lucinda's husband: some LDS sources state that Travis died in Harrison County, VA (now WV) but was returned to Franklin County, OH, for interment. Travis Latham reportedly died about 1856 but no markers for Lucinda's husband or for her parents have ever been located. Three of Lucinda's sons saw military service during the Civil War: Silas, Williard, & Calvin.
