David was the son of Travis & Lucinda (Dulin) Latham & he grew up on family farms in Coshocton & Franklin counties, both in Ohio. On August 12, 1845, David was married to Ann (a.k.a. "Anna") Dulin in Franklin County. David & Ann were recorded on the 1850 Federal Census living on a family farm in Washington Township, Franklin County, OH. The couple reportedly parented at least six children between the years of 1846 & 1855: Sarah Ann Latham, Mary Catherine Latham, Francis Latham, Travis C. Latham, Seymour J. Latham (also buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery), & Charles "Charley" Wesley Latham. Following the 1855 death of wife Ann, David was married for a second time to Lydia Osborn on June 17, 1856, and for a third time to Frances "Fanny" A. Armentrout on February 13, 1860. David & "Fanny" can be found on the 1860 Federal Census living on a family farm in Washington Township, Franklin County, OH, along with five of David's children from his previous marriage to Ann Dulin. By the time of the 1880 Federal Census, David had moved to the town of Hilliard, OH, in Norwich Township of Franklin County. Also living with him then were wife Frances, Frances' mother Mrs. Lydia Jones, and a 12-year-old granddaughter named Anna Polk (a.k.a. "Poulk"). Anna is also buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
