It is only ASSUMED that Lewis is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. There is no marker for him there, but most of the evidence points to Mt. Zion as his place of interment. The "Centennial Biographical History of Columbus & Franklin County, Ohio," p. 727, records that Lewis came to Ohio from Virginia about 1810 on horseback, settled in Chillicothe (Ross County), then later to Perry County and to Muskingum County, and finally (about 1850) moved to Delaware County and lived with his daughter, Lucinda (Dulin) Latham, until his death in 1852. Daughter Lucinda died only 4 years after her father and Lucinda IS buried at Mt. Zion and does have a marker. If you visit the cemetery, you will notice that there is lots of "space" between markers with plenty of evidence that there are missing and broken markers. And finally, there is no evidence that Lewis is buried anywhere ELSE in Ohio. Lewis was the eldest son of William & Elizabeth (Stone) Dulin of Fauquier County, VA. On September 30, 1789, Lewis was married to Nancy Ann Reed in Fauquier County. Lewis & "Ann" reportedly parented nine children between the years of 1794 & 1814: Lewis Dulin Jr., Lucinda Dulin, Lawson Dulin, Serepth Dulin, Smith Dulin, Frances Dulin, Edward Dulin, Sarah Dulin, & Elizabeth Dulin. Lewis can be found on the following federal censuses in Ohio: 1820 in Madison Township, Perry County; 1830 in Newton Township, Muskingum County, & 1840 in Newton Township, Muskingum County.
