Pauline Biggers Applewhite

Mrs. Pauline Biggers Applewhite, 77, of Winona died of Multiple Myeloma at her residence Saturday, May 27, 1995.

Mrs. Applewhite was a retired school teacher with the Winona Public Schools, and bookkeeper/owner of Applewhites Garage. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star J.B. Small Chapter #78, Winona Home Demonstration Club, AARP, and served as chaplain both in the American Legion Auxiliary and Disabled American Veterans.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at Oliver Chapel. The Rev. John L. Walker officiated with the Rev. Jimmy Latham assisting. Eastern Star Rites were held in the chapel. Burial was in the Winona Gardens of Memory.

Survivors are her husband, Joe Kimble Applewhite; two daughters, Octavia A. Childress of Pickens, South Carolina, Jacqueline A. Bridges of Memphis; and two grandchildren, Bobby and Renee Bridges.

Active pallbearers were Bill Fisackerly, David Wolfe, Marion Lee (Bo) Surrell, Jerry Chambley, James M. Biggers and Bobby Bennett.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
