Myna's memorial service was held Saturday, June 20th at the Methodist Church in Chillicothe.

Years ago, she converted her parents Hicks Store into her personal "playhouse", which ultimately morphed into the Downtown Medicine Mound Museum. In the early 2000's, Bob Phillips of Texas Country Reporter filmed a television show on site with Myna, which became one of their most popular shows. The Downtown Medicine Mound Museum in her home town of Medicine Mound, Texas, was her pride and joy. In addition to it being a history of the area settlers, it honors them. Each year, a reunion of pioneer descendants is held at the Museum

She was a woman of many talents - accomplished artist, airplane pilot, licensed ham radio operator, master gardener, history and nature enthusiast, gourmet cook and one who embraced life. She is missed.

A portion of her ashes will be scattered on the grounds of the Downtown Medicine Mound Museum and the sacred Medicine Mounds.
