"Age 37, died October 2, 1993, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Born August 13. 1956 in Lansing, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dan and Arlene Graham and Lucy Bailey. Bruce is survived by his parents, William and Ponnie Bailey of Lansing; 2 brothers, Douglas (Dorothy) Bailey and Mark (Jalayne) Bailey, all of Lansing; 1 sister, Linda (Jim) Delaney of Grand Blanc; grandparents, John and Julia Bailey of Arkansas; 2 nieces, Kelley and Kara Delaney; 1 nephew, Justin Bailey; many loving cousins, aunts and uncles; also Special friends Mark Goldenstein of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; Mary Mulvey of Utica, Michigan; Ken Wachowiak of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and Bonnie Clark of Williamston. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 11:30 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Jay Williamson of Berean Baptist Church, officiating. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel beginning Monday, 2 p.m., where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The joy that Bruce has given in his life was a wonderful gift to everyone. His charm, sense of style and quick wit are just a few of the characteristics that made him so dear, but his love and caring for others is really what made Bruce so special. Whether he was a relative or a friend, he always made you feel warm, and best of all he could make you laugh, especially at himself. He loved all music and artists especially Liza Minelli. He loved jazz, but he didn't sing the blues, even when things weren't going as planned, he just said it was bad luck. Now Bruce is at rest. . . His memory will live on forever in us all. . . And we will always remember his love. . . The sparkle in his eye and the smile on his face."
