Passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the age of 70. Born May 14, 1952 to William and Ponnie (Graham) Bailey in Lansing, Michigan. Doug was a graduate of Lansing Everett High School class of 1970. He was passionate about turf management and so he went on to attend Michigan State University and later owned and operated the Lawn Doctors in the Lansing area. After a few years he sold the business but continued to work in the industry for various local companies. Doug was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed them all. He liked attending the races at Spartan Speedway and the air shows in Battle Creek. Doug attended Michigan State University and was a big fan of MSU athletics, especially football and basketball. He had a passion for remote control gadgets and would race them competitively. Doug was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his brother, Bruce Bailey and father, William Bailey.

Surviving are his mother, Ponnie Bailey; sister, Linda (Jim) Delaney; brother, Mark (Janene) Bailey; aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Gary Cheadle as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
