Mary Arp, 96, of Keytesville died Sunday, April 21, 1996 at the Chariton Park Nursing Home in Salisbury. She was born January 17, 1900 in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of George and Evila Goodnough Brown. She moved with her parents to a farm near Mendon and had lived in this area her entire life.
She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church. On January 1, 1923 she was married to Henry Arp. He preceded her in death in May of 1968.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Charles Brandt of Brunswick; two granddaughters, Jean Meade, Oakley, Illinois, and Patricia Joseph, Armstrong, Missouri; two great-granddaughters, Tricia Watts, Mattoon, Illinois, and Becky Meade, Oakley, Illinois; one sister, Grace Arp, Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted April 23 at the Heisel Koch Funeral Home in Brunswick with the Rev. Stan Henderson officiating. Burial was in the German Cemetery at Indian Grove.
Paulbearers were Clifford Arp, Donald Adams, Kenneth Littrell, Bob Adams, Howard Joe Littrell and Darrell Arp.
The family suggests contributions to the Zion Methodist Church in memory of Mrs. Arp.
