Last rites for Henry Otto Arp, 67, were held at 2 p.m., May 14, at Zion Methodist Church, the Rev. Lawrence Hern officiating. Mr. Arp died May 11, 1968 at St. Francis Hospital, Marceline, MO.
Born February 25, 1901, he was the son of Adolph and Bertha Tietjens Arp. He lived his entire life in the Indian Grove and Zion communities. He united with St. John's Lutheran Church in 1927.
Surviving is his wife, the former Miss Mary Brown, One daughter, Mrs. Lois Joseph, Brunswick, also survives. Two granddaughters and one brother, Herbert of Mendon also survives. One brother, Walter, and his parents preceded him in death.
Burial was in the German Cemetery near Indian Grove under the direction of Leipard Funeral Home. Pallbearers were nephews, Marvin, Arnold, and Darrell Arp, Donald Adams, Howard Joe Littrell and Wayne Brown.
