Ruth was the daughter of George and Rhoda Weaver Teke. She was a widowed housewife whose late residence was at Shady Nook Nursing Care Center.

Funeral services for Ruth Carpenter, 79, Lawrenceburg, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, in the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Aurora. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 4, in the funeral home.

She died Saturday, July 1, in Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. She is survived by one son, Donald, Milan; three daughters, Jean Reamer, Okeechobee, Fla., Mary Howrad, Hanover, and Marjorie McCloud, Lawrenceburg; one brother, George Teke, Amelia, Ohio; three sisters, Margaret Symmons, Cincinnati, Lida Vogel, Lawrenceburg and Dorothy Detmer, Rising Sun; 10 grtrandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family suggest meorials be made to the Dillsboro United Methodist Church or the rescue unit of donor's choice.
