Abigail Danielson Sexton was the daughter of Timothy Donaldson and Abigail Elinwood and the wife of Daniel Sexton. Abigail's father and grandfather both served in the American Revolution. After her death her husband, Daniel Sexton, remarried to Nancy ____ and moved to Cortland County, New York. After Abigail's death her parents, siblings and cousins changed the family name from 'Danielson' to 'Donaldson,' believing that 'Donaldson' was the original family surname back in 1600's Scotland.
