Abigail Ellinwood Donaldson was the wife of Timothy Donaldson, who served in the American Revolution. She was the daughter of Thomas Ellinwood and Abigail King. In 1796 Abigail, Timothy and their family moved from Monson, Hampden, Massachusetts, to Butternuts (now Gilbertsville), Otsego County, New York. She had 8 children, 7 of whom lived to adulthood. She died at age 99. She died intestate (without a will) and the court appointed Dan Smith, her son-in-law, to administer her small estate.
