Janet Carlean Lawson, 64, of Bassett, passed away February 17, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Henry County on December 13, 1955, to Percy Gilbert, Sr. and Lucy Clanton Gilbert. She was also predeceased by a sister, Lorrie Via; brother, Charles Gilbert.
She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She graduated from Bassett High School.
She is survived by her husband, Larry B. Lawson; two God children, Chris and Christa Toney; two sisters, Vanessa Gilbert and Eunice Trotter; three brothers, Percy Gilbert, Jr., Timothy Gilbert and David Gilbert.
Burial will be in hagwood Cemetery, Bassett.
