Miriam I. Becker
JEFFERSON - Miriam I. (Landis) Becker, 68, of Spring Grove RD 2, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday at York Hospital. She was the wife of LeRoy J. Becker. The couple would have observed the 50th anniversary of their wedding on Jan. 31.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church, Brodbecks RD 1. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Becker was born in Codorus Township. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Hilda (Bankert) Landis.
Mrs. Becker also is survived by three daughters, Irene M. Brenneman and Jeanette M. Berwager, both of Spring Grove RD 2, and Marlene A. Grothey of Seven Valleys RD 1; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Vernon Landis and Earl Landis, both of Glen Rock, Harold Landis of York, and Sterling Landis of Spring Grove RD 3; five sisters, Mildred Laughman of Jacobus, Hattie Krebs of Melrose, Md., Ruthella Delozier of York RD 10, Catherine Myers and Pauline Cremer, both of Spring Grove RD 2.
She was preceded in death by a son, David L. Becker.
