Hattie M. Miller

NEW OXFORD - Hattie M. (Landis) Miller, 87, of the Brethren Home Community, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the home. She was the wife of Sterling R. Miller.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at St. Jacob's Stone Church, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, with her pastor the Rev. Jason Leader officiating, assisted by Rev. Paula Murray. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Miller was born on June 17, 1925 in Codorus Township, a daughter of the late Vernon B. and Hilda C. (Bankert) Landis.
She retired in 1984 from AMP, Inc., where she was a machine operator and inspector for over 33 years. She was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ and was a member of the Earnest Workers Sunday School Class, the AARP Chapter #669, Hanover. The York Hospital Auxiliary and a life member of the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home Auxiliary.
Mrs. Miller leaves a son, LaVerne W. Ludwig and his wife Linda of Seven Valleys; a daughter, Brenda M. Winemiller and her husband Dean of Glen Rock; a step daughter, Thelma R. Stump and her husband Ray of Newville; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruthella Delozier, York, Catherine Myers and Pauline Cramer both of Spring Grove; and two brothers, Earl Landis of Glen Rock and Harold Landis of York.
