Mrs. Mae Moseley, 89, a former Goldfield resident, died at the home of Mrs. J. R. Carter Monday evening.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home and Rev. Donald Forbes officiated. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Moseley is survived by two sons, Howard A. of Fort Dodge, and Lynn D. of Des Moines, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Obituary
Mae Louise Brimmer was born July 4, 1880, at Goldfield, the daughter of Oliver and Marian Wooden Brimmer.
She was educated in the Goldfield school.
She was united in marriage to Frank C. Moseley on March 9, 1899, at Goldfield.
The couple then made their home in Goldfield. She graduated from Teachers college, Muscatine, and taught for several years.
After Mr. Moseley's death in 1940, Mrs. Moseley continued to make her home in Goldfield. She came to Eagle Grove in 1957, and resided at the Taylor Rest Home before moving to the J. R. Carter home four years ago, where she passed away on Monday, June 22, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 18 days.
She is survived by two sons: Howard A. Moseley, Ft. Dodge, and Lynn D. Moseley, Des Moines; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a nephew, Lloyd Skafte, and a niece, Mrs. David Porterfield, also survive her.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eli Brimmer, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Skafte.
Mrs. Moseley was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 24, at 2 p.m.., with the Rev. Donald Forbes of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove officiating. Services were held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.
