O. P. Brimmer died on June 20th. He had been in poor health for a long time, but was thought to be improving, but was suddenly taken worse. His son E. C. Brimmer, of Des Moines had been here several days assisting in caring for him. There are also two daughters, residents of Goldfield. Mrs. F. C. Moseley and Mrs. E. F. Skafte, and four grandchildren left to mourn his passing, besides many other relatives and the earlier settlers of this county. His wife died several years ago.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Sunday afternoon, June 23rd, at three o'clock, conducted by Rev. DeWitt. The large attendance and floral tributes attested the esteem he and his family were held in.
