Georgiana Smith was the daughter of Dr. George Smith and his wife, Mary Jane Greenway (Avery) Smith. She married William Campbell Blanton, whose brother, Dr. Orville Martin Blanton, married her sister, Martha Rebecca Smith. William C. Blanton was a son of William Whitaker Blanton and his wife, Harriet Byron (McAllister) Blanton. He attended Princeton University and served in the 28th Mississippi Cavalry Regiment, Company D. Following his death, Georgiana was married in 1880 to A. M. Kirk.
