Leo H. "Bud" Brodman, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio formerly of Carey died Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00 a.m. at Country View Haven in Napoleon. Born on July 21, 1924 in Salem Township, Ohio, he was the son of the late Leo Conrad and Frances Ann (Haubert) Brodman. He married Erma M. Yost and they divorced. He married Anna Lou Lulfs on November 3, 1979 and she survives in Napoleon. Surviving are nine children; Sister Joan Brodman, O.S.F., Tiffin, OH, Robert (Peggy) Brodman, Carey, Charles (Teresa) Brodman, Carey, Karen (Daniel) Gerschutz, Carey, Glenna (Art) McGrain, Findlay, Marilyn Zender, Carey, Jean (John) Schumm, Tiffin, Alice (Bill, Jr.) Sowers, Sycamore, Pat (Tina) Brodman, Carey,four step-children; Roger (Karen) Lulfs, Napoleon, Kathryn (Donny) Paschall, Defiance, Harvey Lulfs, Port Clinton, and Sandra (Will) Miller, Defiance, thirty one grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters; Isabelle Brodman, Carey, Dolores Mathias, New Riegel, Sally Marcella (Norbert) Molyet, Fremont, Sister Donna Brodman, O.P. Bridgeport, Conn.. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Louis, Leonard, Herman and Bernard Brodman, three sisters; Mary Loverich, Rose Mathias and Martha Gillig.

Bud was a retired dairy and grain farmer. He was also a carpenter in Napoleon during his later years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon. He was a member of the K of C Council #1925 in Carey. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, OH. Scripture service will be at 8:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey with Rev. John Stowe OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow in Salem St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Salem Township.
