Isabelle H. Brodman, 94, of Carey, died at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her residence. Daughter of the late Leo and Frances (Haubert) Brodman, she was born August 2, 1920 in Wyandot County, OH. Surviving are three sisters: Dolores Mathias of New Reigel, Sally (Norbert) Molyet of Fremont, and Sister Donna Brodman OP of Sanford, CT. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were eight siblings: Rose Mathias, Martha Gillig, Mary Loverich, Louis, Leonard, Leo "Bud", Herman, and Bernard. Isabelle retired from Tiffin Mercy Hospital after 22 years working in the Central Supply Department. She was a member of Our Lady Of Consolation Church in Carey where she was actively involved as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Rosary Alter Society, C.L.of C., 3rd Order of Secular Franciscans, and St. Anthony's fraternity. Friend and family will be received 10 - 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at The Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey with Rev. John Stowe OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.
