Final Rites for Pioneer Citizen Held November 28

George M. Perry, 72, pioneer citizen of Hamilton County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Catherine Arnold in Goldthwaite, Wednesday, November 27, and funeral services were held in the Bob Riley Funeral Chapel Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. Presnell H. Wood and Rev. C. N. Gilbert officiating. Burial was in Gentry's Mill Cemetery.

George Perry was born near Lott, Texas, May 6, 1885. He moved to Hamilton County in 1899. and with the exception of a short time spent in west Texas he resided in the county until his death. He was married to Miss Lillie Dunn, March 15, 1908. Seven children were born to this union.

Deceased is survived by his wife and children: Jeff Perry, Alven Perry, of Hamilton; Vergel Perry and Mrs. Cleo Osterman of Lake Jackson, TX; L. C. Perry of Irving; Mrs. Irene Ford, Angleton, and Mrs. Katherine Arnold of Goldthwaite; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Robtert Perry, Hamilton, and Ernest Perry of Dumas.

Pallbearers were Bill Manning, Burt Karkalits, Don Ferguson, Clyde Gardner, Chas. Walker, O. W. Elmore, Mark Wheeler, Chas. Blackburn.
