Marguerite Odom Aycoth (97) passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Brookdale Winston Salem.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marguerite went to be with her beloved Lord and husband, Arthur (Jack) Aycoth. During her 57 years with Jack, she enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains.

Born on August 28, 1924 in Marlboro County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Annie Stubbs Odom and G.C. Odom, Sr. In addition to her parents; sisters Geneva, Lois, Janice, Wixie and brother Boyce, Francis and G.C. preceded Mrs. Aycoth.

Survivors include her son Randal Aycoth (Carolyn) of Winston Salem, daughter Theresa Parlier (Bill) of Fort Myers; grandchildren Elizabeth Elhassani (Hicham) of Roswell, Will Parlier (Jenny) of Roswell and Kevin Payne (Aggie) in Whitefish, MT; great granddaughters Nora Elhassani, June Parlier and great grandson Eli Parlier.

Marguerite graduated from Gibson High School and business school. She worked for Duke Power and Kraft Dairy Group. She was a member of Steele Creeke Presbyterian Church and was active in visitation and bereavement at the church.

Marguerite had a deep and abiding love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Family will meet friends from 9:30am to 9:45am at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home located at 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Graveside service immediately following at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill, 15000 York Road in Charlotte.
