Mrs. Janice Odom Stubbs, age 85 of Bennettsville, SC passed away on Friday, November 04, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Bennettsville with Entombment following at Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday Evening at the family home.
Mrs. Stubbs was born July 31, 1926 in Marlboro County, daughter of the late Cleve and Annie Odom. She was a devoted homemaker and worked in banking retiring from Wachovia Bank after many years of service. She served as a longtime faithful member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Janice was also preceded in death by siblings, J.B. Odom, Geneva Hilburn, Lois Johnson, Francis Odom.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Mr. John Douglas “J.D.” Stubbs of their home in Bennettsville.
