Ancel Hatch Dies
Sun. In Woods Cross

Ancel Clark Hatch, 67, stockman and sportsman, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Zelda Mills, Woods Cross, Sunday at 2:15 p. m.

Mr. Hatch, a son of Ansel and Phebe Brown Hatch, was born in Woods Cross, Aug. 16, 1877.

Mr Hatch introduced purebred Holsteins into Woods Cross and exhibited livestock in sales and shows throughout the state. He was a charter member of the New State Gun club.

He married Olive Moss in 1899. She died Oct. 13, 1922. He married Amy Ashdown in August, 1924.

In addition to his widow, Mr. Hatch is survived by the following sons and daughters: Albert J. and Calvin L. Hatch and Mrs. Zelda Mills, Woods Cross; Clark Hatch, Oakley, Summit County; Mrs. J. T. Palmer, Tremonton; Mrs. Alice Flanders, Salt Lake and Mrs. Margie Healey, Alpine Utah county; and the following stepchildren, Russell Parrish, Mrs. Theda Wright and Mrs. Della Johnson, Salt Lake; Mrs. Cleo Hatch, Oakley; Dean and Wayne Parrish, Woods Cross. He is also survived by a brother, George Q. Hatch, Woods Cross; a sister Clara Varberg, Salt Lake and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the West Bountiful ward with S. Milton Nelson officiating.
