From funeral information;
Harvey Harold Miller was born on August 17, 1914, the son of Alvin B. Miller and Effie (Pinkston) Miller, in Kiowa County, Kansas. Harvey passed away September 8, 2000 at his home in Greensburg.
Harvey married Alberta Minnie Fark on April 15, 1939 in Dodge City, Kansas. Shortly afterward, they moved to a farm northeast of Greensburg, which was to be their home for thirty-five years.

Harvey and Alberta had 3 children:
1. A son who was stillborn on Sept. 12, 1940.
2. Carol JoAnn Miller
3. Gerald Lynn Miller

Aberta died September 23, 1988. Harvey was next married to Marie Louise (Harmon) Wirth on October 25, 1989 in Greensburg.
Marie survives, as does stepson, Chris Wirth and his wife, Pat, and their two children, Deandra and Jeffrey; Carol and her husband, Phil Brooks, and their two children, Jennifer and Jeffrey, and their families; and Gerald and his wife, Karen.
Family has always been central in Harvey's life. His brothers and sisters were always very important to him. He loved being with them at every opportunity.
He was a wonderful and supportive father who treated his children with kindness. Even when disciplining them, he always bent down to be at eye level so they could understand what he was saying. To his daughter-in-law and son-in-law, he always was the ultimate loving, supportive person all fathers-in-law should be. To his wives, he was a kind caring person, who knew the best way to get along in most situations was to be patient and understanding.
Most of all, Harvey was a man who loved his life. He loved being outdoors, fishing and camping. He loved joking with his family and even until the end kept his sense of humor and enjoyed a good chuckle. He cheerfully endured the last four years although bedfast with stroke complications. Through it all, his humor and love of family kept him going. He was a very brave man.
Most of all, we will miss his sly smile and how his eyes lit up when we all entered the room. We all loved him very much.
In the 1990's Harvey helped Marie on a Miller family history book. They traveled to cemeteries and other locations in the area and spoke to family members to record and save their stories as well as uncovering "lost" information. I know we all can't thank them enough for undertaking such an important but challenging project.
Funeral services for Harvey Miller were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday September 11, 2000 at the First Christian Church in Greensburg, Kansas. The minister was Rev. Gregg Childress. The music was "Just As I Am" and "The Lord's Prayer" with soloist Chris Wirth and organist LaVerne Rosenberger. Flower bearers were Doris Graff, Nell Johnson, Lana Swisher, Joan Ulmer, Helen Woods and Jean Yost.
