Passed away Saturday at home.

Son of Raymond and Myrle Cooper Archer.
Married Carrie N. Chelf in 1958. She preceded him in death August of 2006.
Married Sharon Earl in 2008. She survives.
Also surviving are children Barbara Lee, Brenda Stevens, Caren, Kevin and Marcus Archer; stepchildren Jim, Pam, and Mike Switzer; sister Helen Voelkel; sister-in-law Juliette Caldwell and family; 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Graduated from Ben Davis High School and attended Purdue University.

Served in the US Army in Korea from 1953-54.

Retired as a supervisor from Raybestos, and worked for 20 years at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Charter member of New Hope Christian Church and had dual membership at Heartland Christian Church in Sebring, Florida,

Member of the American Legion Post 72.

He was an IHSAA Referee for many years and loved sports especially IU Sports.

Funeral services with Military Rites 2pm Wednesday, February 6 at New Hope Christian Church with Pastor Darrell Portwood officiating.
Visitation 11am until time of service.

Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, New Hope Christian Church, or C.Y. Kim missions through New Hope Christian Church.

Hunt and Son Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
