Lowell L. Reinhold, 98, of Winamac, IN (formerly of Monterey, IN), passed away at 6:28 AM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac. He was born on January 16, 1921 in Monterey, IN to the late Valentine F. and Mabel (Bitterling) Reinhold. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1938. On December 24, 1939, he married Susie V. Calhoun. She passed away on July 19, 2009. Lowell and Susie were longtime members of the Monterey United Methodist Church.
Lowell was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Monterey area. He was a good neighbor and friend; always willing to help fellow farmers when they needed it. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially farming and gardening as well as caring for farm animals.
Lowell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by two daughters; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Steven Reinhold; daughter, Joyce Rees; one brother, Valentine Reinhold Jr; and two sisters, Kathryn Corbett and Elsie Tuley.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac, IN.
