"Word was received Sunday by Mrs. L. E. Pumphrey of the death of her step-mother, Mrs. David C. Lawson at Oklahoma City, Okla. at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The deceased was 84 years of age. Her maiden name was Mary Bowman, daughter of Samuel Bowman, born two miles west of Waynesburg. She was married to Mr. Lawson about fifty years ago. They lived near Forest Hill and emigrated to Oklahoma about 40 years ago. Her husband died several years ago. The survivors are a son, Clyde, and two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Lemasters and Mrs. Mildred Ward. One daughter, Blanee (sic), is deceased. Also four step-children, Mrs. Pumphrey here; Mrs. L. A. Evans, Pasadena, Calif.; Holman Lawson of Burney, and Oscar Lawson at Jay, Okla."
