Laurel Webb Jones, "Lefty", passed away peacefully on April 29, 1996 at her home, surrounded by her family after fighting a valiant battle against cancer.
Born August 23, 1928, to Frank E. and Florence H. Webb. Graduated South High School. Married Paul W. Jones on July 3, 1948 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Laurel was a compassionate, giving person who loved to serve others. Active in the LDS Church, she held and served in many different callings. She has served for the past 11 years as a Temple Worker in the Jordan River Temple.
She is survived by her husband and seven children: Bruce (Karen); Shannon Telford (Mike); Robert (Shalair); Michael (Debra); Naomi Larson (Timothy); Lyndon (Stacy); Brad (Amby); 32 grandchldren; 11 great-grandchldren; also survived by her brothers and sisters: Don, Shirley Bigler, Dail, Collin, Juel Watts and Lynn.
Funeral Services Thursday, May 2, 11 a.m., in the Bingham Creek 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 8950 South 1300 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and at the ward Thursday one hour prior. Interment will follow in the West Jordan City Cemetery.
