Gloria G. (Brown) Johnston
Gloria G. Johnston, 85, of Hillside Rd, Danville, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center Hospital, Danville.
Born October 11, 1933 in Watsontown, she was the daughter of the late Algernon and Pearl (Hess) Brown. On May 31, 1952, she married Myron F. Johnston and they celebrated 65 years of marriage until his passing on August 6, 2017.
She was a homemaker most of her life taking care of her family.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with all her family, using her computer and doing diamond painting.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Ronald L. and Sandra Johnston, Danville; two daughters and sons in law: Joyce E. and Richard Everetts, Allenwood, and Bonnie L. and Richard Aikey, Danville; eight grandchildren Tasha Hoffman, Christopher Kitchen, Rhonda and Bill Tanner, Daren Johnston, Richard Aikey Jr., Renee Stout and Ronita Barto; 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty and Gary High of Bloomsburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Carr; three brother’s Algernon, Marlin and Robert Brown.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM Monday at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Washingtonville Cemetery. www.wfbrooksfuneralhome.com
