Marlin L. Brown, 68, of Strawberry Ridge Road, Danville, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Oct. 8, 1934, in Spring Mills, he was a son of the late Algernon H. Sr. and Pearl F. Hess Brown.
Mr. Brown retired in 1996 from Geisinger Medical Center, where he had been employed in the maintenance department for 17 years.
An avid wrestling and NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed fishing.
His wife of 33 years, the former Mary E. Barrett, died Feb. 16, 1993. A brother, Algernon H. Brown Jr., died in 1996.
Mr. Brown is survived by a son, Blaine L. Brown, Unityville; a daughter, Mrs. Vinny (JoAnn L.) DiGirolamo, Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald R. Brown, Bloomsburg R.R.9; and three sisters: Evelyn M. Carr, Gloria Johnston and Betty High, all of Danville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the William F. Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, with the Rev. Mark A. Shellenberger, pastor of Benton Assembly of God Church, officiating
