Mr. Jim Alden Slatton age 81 of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday, October 04, 2018, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
He was born October 20, 1936, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired insurance agent with Home Beneficial-Amercn General Life Insurance Company and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon.
Mr. Slatton was preceded in death by parents Dewey and Willie Sanders Slatton, wife June Slatton, daughter Martha Suzanne Slatton, granddaughter Preslie Slatton, sister Lady Ruth Veach, and brothers Fletcher, Grey, Billy Joe, and Jack Slatton.
Survivors include his children Julie (Johnny) Myers and Jim Alan (Mandy) Slatton, grandchildren Andy Slatton, Tucker Slatton, Kaylee McClure, and Kirsten McClure, and a sister Patsy Austin. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 06, 2018, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Tony Lawrence will officiate. Interment will follow at Webb Cemetery. The Slatton Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
