Velma Machon, 75, Dixon, died Monday at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. She was born June 11, 1916, in Miller County, the daughter of Arthur and Effie Dake Rowden. She was married Aug. 13, 1938, to Dora S. Machon, who died April 9, 1970.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Miller County. She was a member of the Iberia Church of Christ and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary at Iberia.
Survivors include: one son, Charles Machon, Dixon; one daughter, Viola Bilyeu, Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Thelma Luttrell and Easter Luttrell, both of Iberia, and Gladys Alexander, Dixon; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Jack Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in the Brays Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today.
