Charley Rowden, age 64 years, of Route 3, Dixon, Mo. passed away Saturday, January 29 at his home. Mr. Rowden was born April 13, 1912 near Iberia, Mo. in Miller County the son of Arthur and Effie (Dake) Rowden. He was married September 2, 1938 at the Courthouse in Vienna, Mo. to Pauline Berry, who survives of the home.

Mr. Rowden lived all his life in Miller County where he was a stockman and a farmer and also formerly employed with R.E.A. He was a charter member of the St. Anthony Polled Hereford Association and former Vice President of the Association, a member of N.F.O in 1960, a member of Brays Advent Christian Church and a former Church Board Member.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Minzo.

Surviving other than his wife, Pauline, are 1 son, Joe D. Rowden of Iberia, Mo.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Lois M. Jarrett of Iberia, Mo.; 2 grandsons, Jeff Jarrett and Matthew Rowden; and 6 sisters, Mrs. Thelma Luttrell, Mrs. Easter Luttrell and Mrs. Ila Luttrell all of Iberia, Mo.; Mrs. Velma Machon and Mrs. Gladys Alexander both of Dixon, Mo. and Mrs. Emma Palmer of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1 at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia, Mo. with Rev. Everett Ransom officiating. Interment was in the Union Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, Mo. Pallbearers were Terry Luttrell, Billy Luttrell, Arthur Machon, Joe Shiverdeck, Ernie Wilson and Clyde Wilson.
