John Kinney Jr. married Nancy Priscilla Giggie, the daughter of Peter and Priscilla Giggie on 7 Nov, 1838, both listed as being from Wicklow Parish.

They had 5 children of record, 3 boys and 2 girls, Mary Ann, William Zebulon, Ruth Priscilla, Marshall J., and George Frederick.

Nancy died sometime after the birth of their youngest child George in 1862 and before the 1870 Census where John is listed as a widower. Also during this time frame the family removed from Greenfield to Fort Fairfield Maine in 1866 according to sons William and Marshall 's later U.S. Census questions.

John died in Nov of 1879 in Chapman, just to the southwest of Presque Isle Me. of Typhoid Fever, exact burial location unstated. However, if his wife Nancy was interred in the Pioneer back in Greenfield as I have surmised, and John's parents and other family are also in there as well. I have placed his location there. It is possible that if Nancy was interred in Fort Fairfield, he would likely be there near her. If any true citation is found that indicates differently, I will always accommodate true fact. No matter where he is interred, a permanent marker has yet to be located.
