Susannah was born circa 1806, probably by spring of that year. She was the 1st born child of John Kinney and Phebe Tompkins, and named in honor of her Paternal Grandmother. She is listed by her middle name Sophronia only once, in the 1851 census, and all other records are as Susanna(h)/Susan.

She married Joseph Green son of Henry and Mary Green in Wakefield on 29 Nov 1823, both of them from and living in Greenfield, and they had 12 children of record: Phebe/Pheoba, John, Mary, Elizabeth, Isabella, Joshua, Sophronia Susannah, Ephraim, Robert, William, Joseph and Richard.

There were quite a few marriages between the Green and Kinney et al families of Greenfield, Holmesville and Maine.

Susan and Joseph are found in Greenfield in the 1851 census, have moved across the river and living in Canaan(now Holmesville) in the 1861, and both are last found in the 1870 census in Lyndon Aroostook Co. Maine, that is now part of Caribou.

It is likely that both Susan and Joseph are both buried in the Grimes Cemetery in Caribou, there are at least 2 of their children interred there. There are no permanent markers known to this researcher at this time.
