Mrs. Ortego was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lone Pine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Ortego; one daughter, Wanda O'Neal; her parents, Braxton and Lillie O'Neal Carson; a son-in-law, Lawrence Rasmussen; a granddaughter, Monica Rasmussen; and a great-grandson, Alex Barron.
She was survived by one son, Russell Ortego of Lafayette; three daughters, Gail Aymond and Hope Rasmussen of Lone Pine and Masel Socia of Kincaid; one sister, Hazel Soileau of Ville Platte;
14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
