Henry Ford Bell, 89, of Templeton, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:45 AM.

Ford, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Monticello, KY on August 3, 1928. He was the son of the late Bryan Gregory and Ella Rose Bell. Henry was raised and educated in the Monticello area. He moved to Indiana and settled in Benton County in 1959. Henry formerly worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and later worked for Peerless Wire in Lafayette. After leaving Peerless Wire, he began working at Sullivan & Fortner Siding in Lafayette. In 1972, Henry went out on his own and began Bell's Home Remodeling, retiring in 1998.

Henry was an ordained Deacon of the Baptist Church and a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Independence. He had served as song leader in various Baptist Churches. He enjoyed fishing and working in his yard and garden. He was a die-hard Ford fan. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.

On May 10, 1947, Henry married Leva L. Criswell in Monticello, KY. She preceded him in death on August 5, 2008.

He leaves behind three sons; five daughters; two half-brothers; four half-sisters; twenty-nine grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Campbell; two grandsons, Jeremy Bell and Larry Stovall Jr; three sisters, Nina Anderson, Irene Spradlin and Mary Burke; and three half-brothers, Kenneth Gregory, Jerome Gregory and Cephas Pittman.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Sunday, July 8th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. with Elders Joel Whitehead, Earl Davis, Jr and Henry Bell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Boswell Cemetery, Boswell, IN.
