A Requiem Mass will be said at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Thoms. J. Lolar the celebrant, for Mrs. George Rice, 82, of 3520 West Capitol Street. She died Friday morning at the family residence.
Mrs. Rice was a native of Lebanon, and had made her home in Jackson for the past 49 years. She was a communicant of Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
Her survivors are one son, Joe G. Rice, of Jackson; one daughter, Mrs. Ellis Alias, of Yazoo City; five grandchildren, Mrs. Helen Ann Clark and Eddie Joe Alias, both of Yazoo City, Mrs. Mary Ann Lefoldt, Miss Yesmaine Rice and Joe G. Rice Jr., all of Jackson, and great grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home.
Interment will be made in Lakewood Memorial Park.
