Peacefully after a lengthy illness, on December 11, 1982 at the Bethel Nursing Home in Calgary, Alberta, Mrs. Maria Batulla, aged 81 years, formerly of 372 Polson Avenue.

Prayers will be said on Thursday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Fr. R. Kysilewsky officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Mrs. Batulla was born March 25, 1901 in the Ukraine. Mrs. Batulla was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, the Canadian Ukrainian National Home and the Canadian Ukrainian Institute of Prosvita, Ladies Auxiliary and Actors Guild.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Vladimir and Myron, both of Winnipeg; daughter Nadia Tycholis of Calgary; eight grandchildren ; three great-grandchildren and sister Elizabeth Smiley of Winnipeg.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Daniel.

Active pallbearers will be Messrs. Gerry Ross, Ron Storozuk, Richard Batulla, Larry Boyko, David Balamotoski and Brian Jefferson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Messrs. Randy and Timothy Tycholis, Kazimir Chopp and Michael Petryszyn.
