"Dale, Wis. -- Mrs. Julia Schmidt, 61, died Wednesday evening at her home in Zittau. She was born at Readfield and lived there until her marriage.
"Survivors are eight children, Arthur of Argenta, Ill., Charles, Mrs. Charles Bauer, Balthazar, Mrs. Henry Berndt, Mrs. Edward Ploether, and Mrs. Peter Straub, all of Oshkosh, and Fred of Zittau.
"She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Anna Pleotz, Fremont; 21 grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Ploetz, Readfield, Fred Ploetz, Oshkosh, and Henry Ploetz, New London, and two sisters, Mrs. Len Kloehn, Fremont, and Mrs. Bertha Wendtland, Oshkosh.
"Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at the Emanuel Lutheran church at Zittau at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. Peterson will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery."
