Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday for Mrs Nannie Nelson with Rev A.H. Dickerson officiating.
Nannie Nelson was born in Sweden, September 25, 1887, and died in her home at Joy, Thursday, November 21, 1940, following a long illness. She came to this country at the age of 24. In March 1917, she was united in marriage to Charles Nelson. Shortly after they started a bakery in Joy and continued in the business some time after Mr Nelson's death five years ago.
Mrs Nelson had been confined to bed for the past several months. She leaves four children: Ellen, LeRoy, Chester and Herbert, all of Joy. Interment was made in Peniel Cemetery.
