FUNERAL RITES HELD SATURDAY FOR C.L. NELSON
Was Parts Manager At Fisher Company
Funeral services for Charles LeRoy Nelson, 32, of Joy, where held at 2 p.m., Saturday from the Davis Funeral home in Aledo, with Rev A.B. Bengston officiating. Interment was made in the Peniel cemetery, with Frank Little, Clyde Pople, George Noble, Gerald Braucht, Harry Moran and Richard Gowdy acting as pallbearers.
Mr Fisher died suddenly at Mercy hospital, Davenport, at 1 a.m. Thursday, Nov 2, 1950, where he had undergone surgery for stomach ulcers a few days previously. He had been ill for about a month.
He was born Jan 23, 1918, a son of Charles J and Ann Nelson. He had lived in Joy for the past 25 years, where he was parts manager for the Fisher Sales Co.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs Ellen Allison of Lexington, Ky., and two brothers, Chester Nelson of Moline and Herbert Nelson of Joy.

Joy - Charles Leroy Nelson, 32, of Joy, died at 1:45 o'clock this morning in Mercy hospital, Davenport, where he had undergone an operation for stomach ulcers Monday. He had been ill a month.
Mr Nelson was born Jan 1, 1918, in Oregon, a son of the late Charles & Nancy Nelson, Joy. He spent most of his life in Joy and was employed by the Fisher Sales Company.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs Ellen Allison, Lexington, Ky., and two brothers, Chester, Moline, and Herbert, Joy.
Funeral arrangements are to be made at the Davis funeral home, Aledo. Burial will be in Peniel cemetery.
