Frank Millard Halliwell was the only son of Levi Halliwell and Mary Elizabeth Spice. Frank married, 16 May 1905, Ella I. Hoff (or Huff) Eby, who was born on 31 May 1876. The couple had one child, Lavonne, before ending their marriage. Frank was deaf and a well known resident of Seville Village. He was first enumerated at 1 year of age on the 1870 federal census with his parents in Seville Village.

In 1898, following the death of his father, he along with his mother, Mary, and his sister Minnie's son, William James Clark Jr., removed to 181 Hamilton St. in Cleveland where they were enumerated on the 1900 census [Roll: T623-1252, p258A] Mary Hallowell, head of household, 50, widow, mother of 4 - 4 living, born May 1850 in Ohio, father born in Pennsylvania, mother born in Maryland, rents the home. Frank son, 32, single, born Aug 1867 in Ohio as were his parents, occupation: Blacksmith Car, unemployed one month. J. William Clark, grandson 6, born Aug 1893 in Ohio as were his parents. Also in the household -- George Schuman a roomer, 45, single, born Mar 1855 in Wisconsin as were his parents, occupation: Trunk maker. Charles Herman a roomer, 20, born Jan 1880 born in Ohio as were his parents, single, occupation: Machinist.

Halliwell, head of household, 42, married 4 years, born in Ohio, as were his parents, occupation: Butcher, owned his shop, rented a home. Ella J. wife, 33, meat carver, mother of 1 child who is living. She was born in Ohio, as were her parents. Lvan daughter, 4, born in Ohio. Pearl cousin (d/o George B. & Mary E.), 18, single, born in Ohio as were her parents. She was shown as servant working out.

3 Jan 1920 US Census, Cleveland, Ohio, Ward 2 [p3A]. Frank M. Halliwell 52, owns a mortgaged home, born in Ohio as were his parents, occupation: butcher at packing house. Ella I. wife, 43, born in Ohio as were her parents. LaVonne daughter, 13, born in Ohio, student. Two male fellow employees were also listed as borders within the said residence.

Obituary.
SEVILLE -- Frank M. Halliwell, 91 Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Funeral Home. He was a former meat cutter. He died Monday (Dec 21) at the Rosy Rae Rest Home, Seville. Mr. Halliwell leaves a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne ("Lavonne") Olsen of Cleveland, a sister Mrs. Minnie Swagler of Seville, and two grandchildren. The Rev. James E. Parr will officiate at the services. Burial at Mound Hill Cemetery [The Medina County Gazette, 24 Dec 1959].

Frank purchased the family cemetery plot, which consisted of five lots in Mound Hill Cemetery on 30 Jun 1898. (Note that his father, Levi, passed on 21 December 1897). They are located in Southwest Section 2, Lot 625, and are recorded on page 5 of the Sexton records. The plot is located in the extreme south front near Seville Road, east side of west drive. A single large black granite stone, shared by Levi, his wife Mary and their son Frank, is located on the first lot, facing south. The interred lay east/west on lots 2-4. Inscription aquired from monument: Son | Frank M. Halliwell | 1868 - 1959.
